Volcano multipliers and boosters explained across the series

Multipliers and boosters are what make the volcano slots from 3 Oaks Gaming feel different from one another. The wording changes from title to title, so this explainer follows each mechanic through the four games, from Coin Volcano to 3 Super Coin Volcanoes. It draws solely on information the studio has made public.

The Volcano Multiplier Feature

In the first game this feature may switch on at random during respins and scatter between one and nine volcano multipliers over the reels. The sequel keeps the idea: an eruption can arrive at any moment and drop up to nine multipliers, and when several land on one position their values combine instead of replacing each other.

Ultra Bonus and Boost Bonus

The Ultra Bonus Game triggers at random in both the original and the sequel. Its promise is that volcano multipliers are guaranteed at the beginning of the round. The Boost Bonus Game in Coin Volcano 2 goes a step further, because the guaranteed multipliers start from an increased x5 value. It can only be reached through the buy option, which is offered in select regions.

Boosters in 3 Coin Volcanoes

  • Life refills the respin counter, giving the round more time.
  • Multi unleashes multipliers, and any that land in one cell are combined.
  • Grow unlocks two additional rows; filling the expanded grid brings the Royal jackpot of x2000.

Bonus symbols on an active line light up the volcanoes in green, red and blue, and those flames stay active during the bonus, so extra boosters can still join.

Multi Volcano and Gold Volcano

In 3 Super Coin Volcanoes, the Multi Volcano erupts and applies two to six multipliers of x2 to random cells, and each further hit on a cell adds +1 to its total. When the Super Wheel awakens the Gold Volcano, the eruption becomes supercharged: its multipliers are x5, and every repeat hit adds +5. Life and Grow work much as before.

Reading the mechanics sensibly

Every one of these features is random or symbol-driven, and a multiplier is a possibility rather than an expectation. Knowing the vocabulary helps you read a paytable, nothing more. Keep to a limit you decide on beforehand, and see the 3 Super Coin Volcanoes and Coin Volcano 2 pages for further detail.
